Siti Cable Launches ‘Crunchyroll Anime Stream’ Channel in India with Sony YAY!
Service launched by Sony YAY! and Siti Cable as a first-ever collaboration between a TV channel and a cable network
Siti Cable has launched a new anime-dedicated channel, ‘Crunchyroll Anime Stream’ in India, marking a fresh expansion of anime distribution on cable platforms.
The channel, introduced on April 21, 2026, is part of a collaboration with Sony YAY!, making it one of the first known partnerships between a television network and a cable operator to deliver a dedicated anime service.
Anime Lineup on the Channel
The newly launched channel features a lineup of popular anime titles, including:
- Naruto
- Black Clover
- Robotan
The catalogue appears similar to other anime-focused service channels available across Indian DTH and cable platforms.
Expanding Anime Channels Across DTH Platforms
With this launch, Siti Cable joins a growing list of Indian platforms offering dedicated anime channels.
Previously:
- Dish TV introduced Crunchyroll Anime Top Active in August 2025
- Tata Play launched Crunchyroll Anime Local, which was discontinued in June 2025 and later resumed in March 2026
- Airtel Digital TV continues to operate Crunchyroll Anime Booth
These services largely feature similar anime catalogues, focused on dubbed content for Indian audiences.
Growing Presence of Anime on Indian Television
The addition of Crunchyroll Anime Stream further strengthens the presence of anime on Indian cable and DTH networks.
With multiple platforms now offering dedicated anime channels, Sony Pictures Networks India (SPNI), through its partnerships with Sony YAY!, continues to expand its footprint in the Indian anime distribution space.
