Sony PIX Expands Crunchyroll Anime Block to 2 Hours in India
Crunchyroll Amazing Anime Block will begin 1 Hour early while re-runs continues on the channel

Sony Pix has expanded its late-night Crunchyroll Anime Block to a full 2-hour runtime, extending the schedule to 10:00 PM – 12:00 AM daily. The upgrade begins on November 29, 2025, and features a fresh rotation of second-cycle re-runs.

Launch & Background

Sony Pix first introduced the Crunchyroll Anime block on May 10, 2025, becoming the second English channel after Zee Café to host a dedicated anime programming window. The block launched with Metallic Rouge and Bucchigiri, airing exclusively in English dub — consistent with Sony Pix’s positioning as a flagship English channel under Culver Max Entertainment (Sony Pictures Networks India).

From May to August 2025, Sony Pix aired 20 different anime series, with a schedule running from 11:00 PM to 12:15 AM. Two shows aired nightly — the first at 11:00 PM, followed by the second with double-episode slots at 11:25 PM and 11:50 PM.

The channel eventually switched to re-runs beginning August 10, 2025, while the final first-cycle show, Shoot! Goal to the Future, concluded on August 17, 2025. Most re-runs finished on November 22, 2025, with Metallic Rouge closing the cycle.

New 2-Hour Format

With the expanded block now running for a full 120 minutes, Sony Pix has updated the nightly schedule as follows:

Crunchyroll Block – Daily Schedule (10:00 PM to 12:00 AM)

  • Show 1: Robotic;Notes – 10:00 PM, 10:25 PM (double episodes)
  • Show 2: Metallic Rogue – 10:50 PM
  • Show 3: Bucchigiri – 11:15 PM, 11:40 PM (double episodes)

A total of three anime series now air every night as part of the extended lineup. While no new titles have been introduced yet, Sony Pix has begun a second batch of re-runs for several of these shows.

What This Means for Fans

This update on Sony PIX mirrors the earlier shift on Sony YAY!, which expanded its anime programming into the ANi-Mazing Block, airing daily from 9:00 PM to 11:30 PM. With PIX now extending its own Crunchyroll block to 2 full hours, both channels offer longer, more consistent anime programming across the network.
