Idaten Jump – Overview
Idaten Jump is a Japanese sports anime series based on the manga of the same name by Toshihiro Fujiwara. The series revolves around mountain bike racing and follows Sho Yamato, a young rider who gets isekaied to a mysterious world known as the X Zone, where intense downhill races known as Idaten Battles take place.
Produced by Trans Arts, the anime originally aired in Japan from 1st October 2005 to 30th September 2006, for a total of 52 episodes on TV Tokyo. Blending action, adventure, and competitive racing themes, the series became particularly popular among younger audiences during its television broadcasts in several countries, including India.
History of Idaten Jump in India (Nick, Sonic Nickelodeon)
Idaten Jump first premiered in India in 2010 on Nickelodeon (Nick India), marking the anime’s debut on Indian television. While very little archival information about this initial broadcast is currently available online, the run is believed to have been incomplete and aired primarily in English.
The series later returned through Sonic Nickelodeon in 2014, where it received a wider release in Hindi, Tamil, and English dubs. The show premiered on January 20, 2014, airing Monday to Friday at 6:30 PM. Unlike the earlier Nick India broadcast, this was a complete 52-episode run.
Years after its television broadcast, Idaten Jump later became available for streaming in India through official releases on YouTube and JioCinema (Now JioHotstar).
Idaten Jump on Sonic Gang (YouTube Channel) – Official Promo
The Hindi dub was uploaded on the official Sonic Gang (YouTube) channel between February 15 and June 24, 2024. This was followed by the Tamil dub release on the Sonic Gang Tamil (YouTube) channel from May 22 to September 25, 2024.

Later on September 13, 2024, the complete 52-episode series was released on JioCinema (now JioHotstar) in Hindi, Tamil, and English dubs as a complete batch.
